I love scrapbooking and cardmaking, & so many other crafts!!!

Some stuff about me

These are a few things about me, my life, family and interests. I love scrapbooking & sharing with my online groups and all of the gals there, they are so kind & helpful. I wish I could be more involved, I regret letting life get by so quickly, now that I am sick (just diagnosed at age 42 with cystic fibrosis!) I wish I could turn back the hands of time. I've always just lived for the moment and I hope the memories I leave will be fond to all of those that have known me. With 27% lung capacity revised.... 23% left I have had to face the harsh reality of mortality and death; "it is what it is" as the saying goes. I am just thankful for everyday that I am blessed with. I could hope for nothing more, just knowing I was loved by my children in my life brings my heart happiness. Add on...I'm going on a cruise April 2010 Lord willin'! Please pray for me that I can remain healthy enough to make a once in a lifetime trip! xx-oo

I have been trying to get back on my feet and with it back to scrappin' and craftin'. I must tell you a wonderful experience I have had recently. Since I have been sick and pretty much know my fate, it has given me a new sense of thinking. I feel like I cherish things better, appreciate people more and I enjoy the smaller things in life a little more. Here is something that may not mean as much to some as it did to me. I had the pleasure of having the nicest dinner with my family, my 2 Aunts, Uncles my cousin and his girlfriend and my dear grandmother. I am so privileged that she is still in my life. I am adding some pics of a few things I've been working on. I have pics of our lovely dinner together but they must be on the other memory card~ I will have to find that! Well, till next time!

Hmmm... I wonder if Count Dracula is in my bloodline or maybe the Werewolf?

I hate not being able to sleep @ night, well I sleep all day and am up all night. I have people mad at me cause I'm not answering my phone or calling them back the past 2 days. I've been up cleaning my Scrapbook room all night & sleeping all day. I can't call them back cause I don't think they'd appreciate me calling at 11:30 at night! Maybe I need to try one of those sleep aides and get my days and nights switched back around?!

New Journey

I am excited to say my husband and I have agreed to seek some help on our relationship. With this illness we have lost touch with each other. I know we love each other but we have both been so wrapped up in what this sickness is doing to our lives, that we haven't taken the time out for us. We used to have fun together and I used to tingle when I would look into his eyes. It is on rare occasion that our eyes even meet anymore. We are so mad at this disease and what it is doing to us, our family our finances that we are ticked at the wrong thing. We take it out on each other. We already had our 1st date night & it was a success, we came home smiling and had wonderful conversation. I am hopeful for our future. I know my daughter has had a brighter smile. I was very happy that I was able to spend time with my son and my future d.i.l. It was a short but wonderful visit, except for my sugar scare! With this newfound happiness I am sitting in the midst of my scrapbook room and have really put a dent in organizing it. I have a ways to go but it has been torn up for over 2 months..since before I got really sick this past time. Wish me luck!

Hmmm, Not sure..

I can't say if I'm getting better or not, I will start to feel better than slide back. I "TRY" to maintain the house and take advantage of my 'up' days only to feel like I fall back.. Remember when you were a kid and we just had to challenge ourselves to climb UP the slide...get almost to the top and our slippery shoes made us slide back down 1/2 way, well that is what I am reminded of. Hey but the bright side is at least I'm up on the slide right? I start to feel down and then some amazing people cheer me! I am so lucky to have my groups for support. Some people may judge me for it but the encouragement and little cards and gifts really make you feel like there are people out there that care. It's funny all of my life I have never been able to depend on family for emotional support. It stinks but it is what is is as they say. I feel very fortunate to at least have my crafts and craft friends. I am sooo excited, I received my magnolia stamps from magnolia-licious.com they are my favorite stamps. I clicked the wrong button and got my order so messed up and Diana Crick (owner) sent me some strength, hope, cure stamps. They will go nicely for the stamps I am going to make for the kids CF unit. Anyone know where I can find a stamp with disabled kids. I swear I saw a stamp w/ little boy in a wheelchair, thought it was CTMH but I don't know... Anyone???? Let me know if anyone has any idea! I also am having company in Wed. I never have company it's someone I have know for years. She scraps and we are going to scrapbook together!!!! Well till next time!
